victor: Rosen acted absolutely correctly to refuse guidance until he had a firm grasp.

I think the street would have settled for guidance as to when he would have a firm grasp.

My comments were in regard to how perception is moving the stock price - right or wrong. They were for that small group of people who's main (maybe only) reason for investing in CPQ is to create wealth for themselves - not those who are also "hobbyists" (your term) who have a particular interest in the inner-workings of the company. I don't mean that term in a derogatory way - after all, my good friend rudedog is in that camp.

I hope you're right about the cc. It would certainly help to turn things around.

To all: I like the way CPQ is forming a solid base
here in the low 20s. Anyone out there who was burned
at higher levels with this stock (like myself) should
really consider nibbling at these prices and buying
in significantly if it trades between 19 and 21!!
All the terrible news is out of this company and with
the implementation of a new CEO and CFO the road to
recovery will begin. I remember another fallen PC
maker back around 1993 or 1994 called IBM. When it
bottomed in the low 40s people began to whisper that it
might go out of business. The rest is history. Sure we'll
see CPQ dragging its rear in the low to mid 20s for awhile
longer but PLEASE don't count them out!! Their time in
the sun will return and it might be a bit earlier than
most expect. Good Luck and HOLD ON!!!

victor... Imho, there is no reason to believe that CPQ will put in a strong Q2. I think we will get at least 2 more disappointing quarters. El
