Tim...
Next time you turn on your computer,
check out HTPI.
I have not talked to you since last July 1998.
I have been watching the markets, but have
not traded.
I bought 15K of this stock last July and held
onto it as it dropped. 'Still have it.
Today, It had the highest volume in years,
and closed up over 200+ %.
'Volume was over 1.6 million shares.
The company last July 1998 was a partner with
Digital Equipment, and Texas Instruments.
They were to produce a $10K each, projection TV unit.
Maybe they are finally going to produce it ???
The P/E is .11, and Etrade shows .44 cents per share earned.
No news showing anywhere yet...?
I think I talked about this stock with you last July?

Dick W.

I like visiting the threads at SI because they've proven to be a rich source of material for classes I teach on personality disorders. Does the author of the above quote appear to any of you to exhibit a few of the following characteristics?

- Seeks to create an illusion of superiority and to build up an image of high self-worth

- Experiences little empathy for the feelings of others

- Strives for recognition and prestige to compensate for the lack of a feeling of self-worth

- Exhibits a deprecatory attitude in which the achievements of others are ridiculed and degraded

- Has persistent aspirations for glory and status

- Has a tendency to exaggerate and boast

- Expresses a lack of patience with others' concerns as a means to force attention and admiration upon himself or herself

- Is hyper sensitive to how others react to him or her, watches and listens carefully for critical judgment, and feels slighted by disapproval

- Covers up a sense of inadequacy with pseudo-arrogance

- Entertains fantasies of greatness, wants to be seen as a genius

Anyone ever notice that a Tim Luke thread, while active, seems to turn toward recriminations and odd emotional stuff? Then Tim announces he has had it and leaves....maybe. Someone could do a thesis on this stuff. Sociology and psychology of online stock discussion groups.
