TO SOME WILLING SI POSTER WHO IS ALSO AN RB MEMBER:

In view of the fact that my off-handed and, in retrospect, clearly inappropriately phrased, remark has apparently created a question of alleged ill-will, elitism or antagonism between SI and RB, or at least between myself and RB, I would ask your forbearance in posting this message to RB-WAVX and/or RB-WAVXOT, if you are willing to do so.

Dear Fellow Wave Investors at RB:

Please accept my apology for the tone in which my SI post number 6609 was composed, and accept my assurance that its intent was not to be either insulting or arrogant, but to purely to get someone to quickly post group92's valuable information onto RB for the benefit of all of those who had done so much work to investigate and qualify the very exciting discovery made by CountryBoy in his extensive and unselfish digging for everyone's benefit.

Please be assured that the wording was born out of frustration from having then just finished an exhaustive and exhausting marathon readthrough of all of the posts on both RB-WAVX and RB-WAVXOT for the prior 14 hours, complicated by numerous business interruptions, and made almost intolerable by the frustration of the exceedingly slow response time of the RB post-to-post data transmissions.

I must admit that I was also further frustrated by the tendency for many to apparently not listen to what many of the posters were posting, especially if what they were posting was out of the mainstream of the direction in which the inquiry was proceeding. It may be something that really doesn't get noticed until someone reviews every post, one after another, in a short period of time.

In any case, I take full responsibility for the inappropriate choice of words and tone and apologize for it.

I further want to make it very clear, that I personally am extremely grateful for the contributions to my personal understanding of and enthusiasm for Wave which has come from the unselfish, reasoned and valuable contributions and DD of the RB posters, as well as the SI posters. I actually feel that I have gained something from nearly every non-spamming RB poster, even those with the most negative positions, who have helped me to continually reassess my own position and to help me keep questioning the efficacy of my rationale and to keep me from allowing hope and irrational exuberance to govern my position.

I have chosen to only post on SI because I usually do not have the time to follow the high activity level of RB, except in periodic spurts, such as that of this morning noted above. I personally feel that posting on a particular Board creates a responsibility on the participant to remain up to date and knowledgeable, and to be willing to contribute to the same extent as the others on the Board. I have not concentrated my efforts on SI from any elitist motivation. However, I probably must plead guilty to be at least approaching the age at which I will soon be classified as geriatric and, as evidenced by the inappropriateness of my wording, might well be rightfully accused of becoming dull-witted.

I have always assumed that anything useful that I, or anyone else, posted on SI would find its way onto RB and that the extensive and unselfish contributions of the RB posters were being reviewed by almost everyone on SI. I was also pleased with the recently expanding ability to initiate cross-system "duplex" communication in which SI members have been responding to RB members and RB members have been responding to SI members. Such can be nothing but beneficial to both. There is no need for acrimonious feelings between RB and SI, and I certainly do not want to be the one responsible for same.

I knew my choice of words was completely off base when, as I started reviewing posts when I got home, I found my first RB rebuke was from one of the RB posters for whom I have the most respect and to whom I owe much thanks - DWG.

So: I would like everyone at RB to please accept my apologies, to try to accept my sincerity, and to definitely accept my thanks for your contributions to getting us where we are and to keeping us going in this very exciting, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Much more respectfully than was apparent,

Steve

P.S. Apologies to Peter for having to post this at the same time as others are posting delayed birthday wishes ... and thanks for getting us to where we are ... and where we're going.

<OT> <CLEARLY MARKED OT>: I Am Well, Loe...

Good to hear from you--and Weby, of course. And how about your dull-witted self? Been poking your forehead with food utensils, lately?
And how many times, Loe, must I remind you that you can't take deductions for co-dependence. (Though, as dull-witted schemes go, that seems positively brilliant.)

Oh, well, I'm little better I'm afraid. My ignorance, like the bald spot on the very top of my head, keeps expanding year by year. In this state of dullardness, I am surprised by the sounds of cardinals in the morning. Always surprised. And surprised by scattered bits of kindness at a time when, in my opinion, too many desire to refashion their lives in the image and speed and clarity of microprocessors.

Which brings me to you, friend. Like a whippoorwill that I wrote about on another page, you just sort of pop up with something cheery.
Like grace, unbidded. Always good to hear from you.

Best Regards,

c m
