thoughts on use of Tyco on SAC line
my take on Global Marine acq was immediate... secure construction crews, gaurantee first position in line, tie up critical shortage of undersea crews worldwide, SPEED THE PROCESS OF CONNECTING CONTINENTS

confirmation with announced pushup timetable on Pacific Crossing cable... money is lined up and waiting to find its way into GBLX coffers... even with Global Marine in the fold, the SAmerican cable must be secured asap... hits 2 birds 1 stone... hastens revenue stream from SAC, throws a bone to undersea competitors, a great PR move

flash in the pan? you gotta be kidding... they paid for the AC cable by selling 10% of its circuits, leaving 90% to gross profit, undercutting the fatdumb&worried copper cage establishment... the PC cable will pay for itself rapidly also, as will SAC cable... next we will hear of accelerated timetable for replacement of AC cable with terabit line

building a gigantic golden goose that rules the oceans
rapid decline in internatl call rates will make headlines
looking for factual data on call rate elasticity
what a race!
