Go ahead and call IR, but I assure you those numbers I gave you are correct. G* made the order for 300K handsets, but the SP's have to buy from G*. ERICY is not even STARTING on the handsets until 90 days before commercial launch. This WILL be a problem. We should scream and holler to get someone's attention about handset numbers. Can you imagine someone like Sprint PCS starting service and having only a few handsets available? What good will 35K handsets be among all the service providers? For instance, AirTouch will share the CDMA handsets with TESAM in South America. Of the initial lot, roughly one third will be CDMA. So, those two will share 12,000 handsets. Split evenly then, AirTouch will have 6,000 handsets to serve all of North America and Brazil. El Stupido!!!
