Gin and betting on horses! What kind of evil ways are you and Bill Meehan leading me into?

So I went to the Farmer's Market and bought three flats of flowers--120 plants in all--and have about 75 of them in the ground already: begonias surrounded by ageratum and impatiens back in the loamy soil at the edge of my ground-cover. Have some of these plus some petunias and marigolds set aside for pots and planters when the pansies get feeble.

It's true that something extremely interesting occurred at the Farmer's Market that didn't have anything to do with plants, but no need to go into that here.
