That's why we're investors, not traders. I for one do not have the time or the inclination to watch my screen all day waiting for that elusive high or projected low. Frane's Law says that whenever I sell, the stock will rocket and I'll be chasing it, so I just do my research, pick my horses and hop on for the ride. To be honest with you, I don't have the balls to risk it all. 75% of my money is in mutual funds and bonds. I must be doing something right though. My funds are up an average of 8% YTD, but between AXC and 3 others I chose, I'm up 50% YTD. I can sleep well with those numbers. Unless something catastrophic happens to cause AXC to tank (and all indications say no) this is just another bump in the road. Have a nice weekend. Steve

"TVW and AENTV have historically generated modest profitability"

Excerpt taken from Ampex '98 Annual Report Management's Discussion & Analysis on page 17.

Subsequent to year end, the company announced that it had purchased minority investments in TV onthe WEB, Inc. ("TV ontheWEB") and Alternative Entertainment Network, Inc. ("AENTV"). The Company has options to acquire a majority interest in each of these businesses that expire at various dates through 2001. If Ampex elected to exercise its option to acquire control of all of these Internet video businesses in 1999, together with its initial investments therein, it will have invested approximately $12.7 million.

The Company believes that it has sufficient working capital resources to fund the exercise of control options in affiliated companies and capital additions and operating expenditures of its in-house Internet activities throughout 1999.

IMHO - the total purchase price of TVW and AENTV speaks volumes. There is something afoot. What is it?

Best O'Luck!

Tom
