Good thinking on Cramer's part, except he's not going far enough. I believe there's going to be a correction next week that will separate the wheat from the chaff and educate a lot of people on fundamentals of companies that are not founded on accelerating the efficiency of the net, but are gimmicks. Cisco created an efficient self-contained router that replaced a general-purpose unix server/router, and makes incremental profits. They're protected by proprietary software embedded everywhere that's hard to duplicate. It's a MSFT situation. It's not a gimmick. It'll go down next week in the correction, but come back quickly.

Amazon is still just another context-sensitive heuristic search engine, with added product fulfillment, and is looking for synergies but has trouble creating incremental profits because everything they do is easy to duplicate. Their only protection is the proprietary database of users, which is extremely valuable, but about 1/10 as valuable as the share price indicates. Priceline is trying to protect their glorified bulletin-board demand collection system with a patent, which ain't going to work for very long. Ebay is a community of users which will stay with them forever if they take care of them and stay up with the art. But they're ahead of themselves also, imo

Bottom line, my feeling based on price action this week is that tech is going to correct in a big way next week, but I don't have time to watch so I'm into cash.
