Your scenario is akin to somebody selling their car today, to buy a car that doesn't exist today, but may exist at some undetermined time in the future. Perhaps a car powered by reclaimed waste water or some other such futuristic technology. And the dealer isn't even taking downpayments.

Not the scenario that exists for reasonable people, I'm afraid.
