I'm going to box Adonis, Menifee and Prime Timber in the exacta. Good luck!

GB, here is my trifecta wheel. The General Challenge/Excellent Meeting pairing with Menifee over those two plus Adonis, and then over those three plus Prime Timber. I would love to have Vicar, Cat Thief and the Field in there, but you can't bet everybody.

Gerald,

These are my feelings on the horses. I am value oriented as far as betting goes. So I don't care who I bet as long as I am getting an appropriate price.

The Derby contenders are obviously very close in ability. The most interesting aspect of it is that they have similar running styles. So it's going to be tough to guess how the race is going to develop. They also have a level of experience that does not appear to be enough to win a Derby. My bet will most likely come from the top four with price being the determining factor.

The most likely winner is Prime Timber. He has enough ability, is consistent, game, and has a little more experience than some of the others.

Menifee may be the best horse. Lack of seasoning and a sprint pedigree are small question marks.

General Challenge also seems like he has a lot of ability but his last trip was kind of easy. Trouble or not he did not look good in the La Derby. He too is light on seasoning. Baffert seems to think he is a lot better than Prime Timber??? Will be a giant or a disappointment I suspect.

Vicar has the perfect profile. I wasn't all that impressed with the Florida racing, but he ran well in the Blue Grass. Price will be the determining factor as far as betting goes because I think he has less ability than the above. But he does have more seasoning.

Stephen Got Even is better than generally believed. But I see he IS taking big action and will be an underlay at 4-1 or so.

Cat Thief is always there but rarely gets the job done. Has the perfect profile, and always fires, but I would need a big price because he doesn't make me confident.

First American would not have to improve that much. At a very big price he's interesting.

Desert Hero was spectacular in the San Rafael. Not that hot in the SA Derby. Only 3 races coming in is a problem but he may turn out to be a real good one.

Charismatic is not impossible. Last wasn't bad and he's improving.

I'm going to let the fillies beat me. They seem to have a lot of ability, but I think it takes a superior fillie to beat the colts. They haven't shown that yet.

Adonis beat a weak field and the track may have been wet.

K One King is improving but I'll pass.

If Worldly Manner wins I'm throwing out everything I ever learned.

Does Valhol have "electric" ability?
