Such nonsense on the thread lately! So much blather about in-building or in-auto use or non-use, as is proposed here. Want to talk in your car? Get a car kit. In house? Get the house set up for G* fixed. Visiting? Use a cable to the add on antenna and put the thing out the window. Same thing for a car you ride in. Who cares about whether it works in Manhattan? My guess is the only Manhattan customer you will have is Bernard Schwartz, and I guarantee he'll have the correct antenna to make it work flawlessly every time. On a boat? The marine version is for you--ample antenna for fixed in the cabin or stand on the deck and use the mobile handset. I don't get what all the fuss is about.
