Everyone needs a day off once and awhile. I'm sure DELL is being smart about it. You are in-titled to think what you want, as I am. Lets just leave it at that. If you feel DELL the company is not performing to your liking then sell the stock.

Frank I have been reading the posts on Dell for some time and have enjoyed your writings I wonder if you could answer 1 question for me Since I am a new investor there are terms I do not quite understand When you see a stock split listed It will show the pay date and record date I understand the pay date is when the stock splits but what exactly does the record date mean I was looking at Pfizer it shows a 1 paydate and another date for record Does that mean you have to own the stock on the record day for it to apply I would appreciate any ones expertise on this Thanks so much George Schulte

Frank:
The Fact that IBM is UP and Dell is down in any given week has little to do with DELL's day to day operations or whether or not they are taking a day off. The market fluctuates for many reasons.
I personally believe that management has been very focused on what they need to do and DELL has done an outstanding job this quarter. IDC data, management comments, and history support this personal belief. Be patient and the stock price will follow the fundamentals and you will be rewarded. I think that reward will be soon and I have a lot of money riding on May calls that are counting on it.
Best wishes,
Kirk
