Thor, merci bien. The IT guy at my office said he really likes SunOS even better than Linux...sez it's blazing fast and has some interesting features - s/t about that it seamlessly weaves java, unix, visualbasic, etc. using shortcuts [am pretty vague on this]. Anyway, If I learn more I'll pass it on if anyone's interested. Bill's [justifiable] paranoia has always been threatened by the possibility of the whole Windows thing being undermined in very short order by such developments. Besides being an evil empire intensely-disliker, I think the competition and variety is most healthy. As to Au, it is equally enigmatic to me how it can be bought or sold or shorted in amounts that greatly exceed existing stocks - for long periods, that is...I'd have thought eventually the gap has to be filled.....regards, Scott
