RG & GeeMan, you're digging yourself's into a big hole. GODIN's no genius but he's smart enough to know - don't make STUPID statements like this. RG, you're again showing you less than accurate grasp of the facts.

PS: maybe you dreamed it!!! LOL

>>I also remember hearing the CEO say that he expected Bid.com to be profitable in 1999

RG, if Bidcom shows an audited positive net income for 1999 I'll become a long term shareholder!

However instead of remembering what the CEO said or what is in press releases lets look at the recent SEC filing found here:

sec.gov

The Company has not earned profits to date and had accumulated losses of Cdn $27.7 million as at December 31, 1998. For the year ended December 31, 1998 and the year ended December 31, 1997, the Company's net loss was Cdn $18.7 million and Cdn $6.7 million, respectively. The Company intends to continue to invest heavily in marketing and promotion, development of its technology, business-to-business auctions and other areas of its business. As a result, the Company believes that it will incur substantial operating losses for the foreseeable future.
