Hi, Ron. Long-time readers of this thread might recall the exchange Doug DeShong and I had quite a while ago on the topic of free elections on the Mainland. May have been about 1 1/2 years ago. About the same time we took Judy Woodruff to task for something or other. We also kicked it around one day last Fall at the old Inside China Today discussion board. In any case, it's not a new situation and many are skeptical. Better than no vote at all, I guess. Yes, I was referring to Congressman Leach. In particular, his affirmative vote on an issue (H. Res. 82) in which I'd taken an active interest. -----
