Let's qualify that:

ASTN could easily be hitting $1 EPS per quarter by the end of the year - currently they are burning around $6 million a quarter - but profits can roll in fast and furiously putting them into very large revenue potential very quickly.

Quite simply they are launching an alternative trading system on the Philly exchange on July 1st. This system allows institutions to sell (or buy) large blocks anonymously without impacting the price - using VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) - the sale (or buy) is then recorded at the end of the day as a block sale (or buy).

Already 50 institutions are signed up.
The CEO (former developer of Instinet) is estimating 20 million a day share volume by the end of the year with ASTN taking 3 cents per share. Do the math and figure what revenue is possible here....

If the system takes off then 2000 could see some massive volume and revenues......
