Using wireless modems is somewhat slower than a 28.8K connection. However, you should be getting better throughput than what you are getting. There are programs out there (generally free) from the wireless providers that modify a parameter called "MTU". There is an optimum value for it for the wireless modems and it makes a huge difference in performance. Check with your wireless carrier about it. StockEdge allows you to have 50 symbols AT A TIME. Therefore, you can open and close different portfolios and see everything. For an additional $25, you can purchase another 50 symbols. Also, if you really want more than that, check out Signal Online. It allows up to 500 symbols at a given time max. Additionally, it allows you to look at options and futures. Hope this helps. JL
