TideGlider,

There are a lot of people who feel that they are neither 'ignorant' nor 'stupid' that have been 'taken in' on investments.

I have seen some people post on s.i. that I feel are very intelligent people. Some of those people have even posted that they lost money on investments. I believe that some of the investments even turned out to be
outright scams.

Regardless of the 'situation in investments' of the hypothetical person, a loss is a loss.
