But believe me, we've all been subjected to a very great deal more abuse than we've ever handed out. That's why it is so hard for people to understand why you even bother after the attacks begin; and why they accuse you of being compensated, or of having an ulterior motive. What's in it for you that makes you keep on sinking to new levels of retaliation when the confrontation could so easily be avoided? Unfortunately, the attacks and hostility, encompass EVERYONE who reads a post, no matter if they are a 65 year old widow who is socking it away for "older" age, a 40 year old mom trying to build a college fund for her 3 kids, or some putz who instigates arguments just to get people's reactions and set them off. It causes mental anguish to hundreds, not just the one who most likely deserves your best show of wrath. The "good people" who get in in the middle of this warfare quit reading, because they see it as someone trying to instill fear into them...or just unnecessary anger posted on a daily, continuous basis. They miss your intent in the delivery. There is good to be done on SI, but if one group isn't receptive, why stick around. Let them yell and scream at your name all they want, but ignore it. Move on. These people obviously don't want, appreciate or think they need help...so why not put your energies into a group who will? Anyway, I've beaten this dead horse to death this morning, and am not so sure why. <g> More thinking out loud and voicing frustrations than trying to be argumentative. Speaking of horses, but not dead ones <g>...time to get dressed for the 10th Annual Kentucky Derby party our friends give! Love that Derby Pie and those bar-b-que ribs! E'Lane
