Hi Jan,

You weren't around on Friday. You missed some easy profits. I did only one trade (short 200 amzn @173 5/8, cover at 171 3/16). Had an afternoon doctor appt so missed the see-saw in the last hour.

I've been trading well last week. Both long and short. So now I am entertaining delusions of getting this down to a science. Of course that is the most likely time for making big mistakes. Anyway....

I think the "forever long" amzn investors will watch with dismay as their prize pig gets sliced into pork chops. Very likely they will average down at 160, 120, and 80. That last one might work, if the funds get back in at that point.

Brokers have increased loss estimates to near $300 million. The next step is downgrades.

Lets look at the opposite view. What can take amzn up ?
I wish some of the bulls would post about this. Because I can't think of anything.

Friday a rally in amzn fizzled and burned the faithful, again.
A test of my view is that we should not see a rally to 180 on Monday, and any pop in the price should get swatted down quickly. If it closes below 165, I'll consider that a strong indication that a steep slide is coming, and will short a few hundred shares.
