Is to look for the Sarnoff connection. May be fruitful, may be fruitless, but does exist...

(Granted, they're talking chip sets here, but they're also talking set-top boxes.)

Steve--Thanks for the research on the Motorola "connection." However, I don't think that there's much that you found that could have led SEITF to draw the conclusion that they made on their website (that Motorola and Wave Systems had made an agreement), do you?

This thing still puzzles the hell out of me. Did anyone check with Kent Kappen on Friday, by any chance?
