To Luther : OT - I finally sold my uss calls (which were converted into Tyco calls) last Nov. 99 for $12 (bought for $5.5) since it was going to expire in one month time. It dropped to zero one month before I sold them - it was a hilarious ride. So it was a good ending to that trade.

coms should be good play at this time. Technicals are really strong.

Right now I actually like the resource sector best. I have just switched most of my Pension funds into Resource Sector Mutual Funds. I think the stocks benefit most immediately would be resources due to the Asia recovery which is clearly happening right now. I don't know the individual resource companies well so I buy the Mutual Funds. They have been down for so long that it's easily a double from this level.

As to trading stocks, I am watching a few stocks that had dropped quite a bit with good turn-around potential - cpq, stk, sybs, dgn, pmtc ....... too numerous to name - all for short term trades at this moment.

Are you in coms just for the short term or longer term ?
