DD, all I said is that there's something to be said about buy and hold. It takes the right stock and a careful watch on sector rotation but you certainly can't beat the performance potential of daytrading.

Bombardier perfomed a little bit better than you think over the past year. In Jan '98 it was at 14, April '98 at 18. At its current price, it's about a 30% gain for the year including dividends. Take a look at Bombardier's 5 yr. chart.

I think that the case that internet trading and the easy access to information works against holding a stock holds true only as long as that information can be converted into quick cash. It's the old risk/reward ratio. The scale has been shifting more to the risk side of late (imo).

If we're going to go with a cyclical stock to watch, let's keep a focus on LAF since I own it anyway. I don't think that this stock has run out of steam yet. techstocks.com

You're stepping back into the plate on the high techs? Hmmmm.... I am still cautious, although I do have a position in AOL. Have you been keeping up with the MP3 arena? Microsoft and Real Networks are joining in. It looks like MP3 is a new growth industry.
