I don't know what the institutional ownership is in ASTN. Anyone with IBD? Someone commented that institutions generally don't own stocks under $10.

I've been following the stock on the I-Watch site:

thomsoninvest.net (click on "I-Watch")

and that person's comment holds true because there's been nary a nibble from institutions in the last week or two. I haven't been recording the action from day to day, but I believe Friday's action, although light percentage-wise, on average, for institutions, represents an increase: Approximately 15% of trading was institutional (going by the pie-graphic). No way of knowing whether this was buying or selling -- that's where it would be good to know what the inst. ownership was prior to Friday. If it was 0, then there's a good chance that institutions are piling in.

Microsoft Investor also has an alert service for marked changes in institutional ownership, in case anyone subscribes or knows someone who subscribes to that service.
