Larry,

One can always pick the period on any graph to make any point.

That's the key reason, IMO, not to rely on TA alone.

Is there any fundamental reason for you to be concerned about DELL's immediate future: i.e. 1-2 years; or even 3 to 5 years?

Do you think that the under $700 market is a threat to Dell's prospects?

Do you think that Rosen is finally going to get it right after being wrong for the last few years?

Or that Gerstner who states that PCs are Dead, will pose a more major threat than he did before?

Or that the PC world will fall in love with IMacs?

Let's face it, Dell has done a lot of things right. They continue to add new lines of business, new products within their existing lines, expand into new geographies, expand their eCommerce offerings, and grow far more rapidly than any company in their sector and far more rapidly than the vast majority outside their sector.

There just doesn't seem to be any rational reason to expect the market to award Dell a lower multiple. A higher multiple, perhaps. Lower, just isn't too likely very soon, IMO.

FWIW,
Ian.
