This is really a second half of 1999 stock.

An analyst on the conference call could not understand why ANDW's forward guidance was not stronger given that MOT's and LU's order books for wireless were good, not strong but good. ANDW management stated that was what they were try to say,but that since their products are not necessary till late in the wireless deployment stage that any recovery would not be till late in the year. Also since the delivery time has now been reduced to a matter of a few weeks the Q's will continue to be volatile.

The CDMA deployment in Japan might help, but ANDW really needs the deployment of LMDS and HDTV in the US to get this stock back up into the 20's. The days where ANDW gets multi-year supply contracts for cable are gone, the competitive forces in the industry do now allow it.
