jhild: At econtactonline.com is a description of eContact 2000. Some of its claims are: " It does not compete with (Microsoft) Outlook but rather, compliments in and works along side it." and "For many, eContact is a much less expensive solution than anything that could be built around Outlook. By its very nature, Outlook has to be enhanced to do the dedicated tasks that eContact does out of the box. Whenever a product needs a great deal of configuring and programming, the cost goes up enormously. To make Outlook do most of what eContact already does would require a very heavy investment in time, effort and money. For many, Outlook is a development tool while eContact is a solution".

If it turns out those claims are true and if Microsoft wants to buy eContact, what do you think Bill Gates would pay to buy it?
