Andmoreagain, These government subsidies are happening everywhere including our good old USA. IRID is getting a big boost from US Government or US military usage of IRID phones. The same goes with my local phone service too. I remembered Pac Bell provided some sort of basic phone service to those low income households. These households pay a lower rate with the subsidies form the remaining household users like us (Government Mandated). You bet other country governments will do the same if USA has do it this way. The demand is there! Which company can capitalize it? I bet on G*. You can ask all the questions you want. Then either you are convinced or not. Best Brian H.
