'tis the morning after.

I am reminded of lines by Rupert Brooke:

Where Beauty and Beauty meet
All naked, fair to fair,
The earth is crying-sweet,
And scattering bright the air,
Eddying, dizzying, closing round,
With soft and drunken laughter;
Veiling all that may befall
After--after.

Indeed, last night the earth was crying-sweet and I remember soft laughter -- and soft cries.

But now tis after, after.

Bless you for a wonderful week, and for spending such a delightful Mayday with me.

[I will not be so crass as to add "and others."]
