Business Wire's contract is so "in your face" that there is absolutely no way that you all are going to be able to weasle your way around it.

I like you Jeff, and I hope that they will go easy on you.
I do, however, agree 100 % with Business Wire's rights and rationale.
I don't think that you should have *used* Business Wire for your 'joke' unless they were rightfully a knowing party. They, of course, would never have agreed to such a stint though, and you know it. That is why you had to be s*n*e*a*k*y and do it behind their backs. Not nice.
