BTW, I very much doubt that SDLI is a supplier to JDS, but I will reread JDS's prospectus to check During their most recent conference call, SDL was asked about major customers and specifically if they sold to JDS. "Yes, JDS is a top customer," Scifres replied. "We have a good long-term contract." I attended the Uniphase presentation at the H&Q conference and noted that all their slides were headed, "JDS Uniphase," as if the merger were complete. All the financials were combined, as well. KK mentioned the proxy would be filed "this week," so I imagine it's been done. The Metro market is estimated to ramp by 2001 whereas currently the bigger market is last-mile CATV. I'm content to hold both JDS and SDLI. That way all my bases are covered. Pat
