As near as I can tell, Robert's problem is that his conception of us is the established order, himself, and the other right-thinking true patriots, and his conception of them is anybody who dares to question the official line. If he had lived in the Middle Ages, he would've supported burning heretics. If he had lived in Nazi Germany he would have supported gassing Jews. If he had lived in the USSR under Stalin he would have supported the gulags. And if we were in Kosovo fighting on the side of the Serbs, he would have supported ethnic cleansing. It seems that he has no ability to think independently, but can only repeat what he is told. His kind has always existed and will continue to exist. He is a tool of the power-mongers, and they will always have a need for useful tools.
