The excellent,burgeoning overview of one of the most dynamic fledgling sectors in the history of the market -- provided so well here by BAM, Jubimer, Flickerful, Tom and many others -- leaves me a little befuddled ... dumbstruck by all the chameleon jitterbug variables at play. My chips are down ....little I can say or do - gonna retire to lurking and musing and attempting to grab onto a cohesive handle or two in these high velocity crosscurrents. Can only echo a few points many others have mentioned.... Coalitions are essential. There will almost surely be some news of that this year. The money for development of AXC's business strategy will have to come from somewhere .....there will also be related news of that this year. The unveiling of the Ampex network will likely happen this year and will be mighty interesting. I personally am very skeptical of a proprietary streaming " product " coming from AXC, but am also very confident of their ability to make improvements beyond the norm to whatever video delivery structure they finally erect. ( and I think we can be sure a sizeable bite of their discretionary R&D has been at work in that and other related areas for quite some time now.) Ampex bet on the table ....and I do like the odds of success much better than I did on my ultra light Derby bet on Adonis- who I am told is still running...his jockey fell asleep and off...sprained both ankles......but gamely got up and chased Adonis and caught him...remounted...and the stalwart pair are determined to finish the race sometime before sunset tonight. <g> Very best of luck to all on this fine board.... a bunch of characters with character. ; - )
