FWIW: Just noticed that Schwab moved General Magic (GMGC) back to marginable status. I follow gmgc and cmgi and think the former has potential to go much higher and the latter much lower - - funny that Schwab would validate my thinking.

I got so excited over that quotation that at first I overlooked the fact that it WAS a quotation and thought we had a wonderful source of misinformation right here on the thread. Or rather, a source of inverted wisdom.

A couple of days ago I posted asking for the very best put candidates and that sure supplies them. If Nadine is reading, there's your list for buying LEAP puts on the Internet if you want to create a highly speculative position against them.

If I see good profits in any of my other positions, I'll certainly be looking at cmgi, athm, and others.

CMGI sounds especially good. Sounds like a kind of fund of funds effect--the things that went from 100 to 1 (or less than zero) in 1929-33.

This guy also claims to have turned his account from 70k to 950k in one year on these stocks, which I find a bit hard to believe.

Mark, I think it was South Dakota, because at the Montana/SoDak border there is a sign that reads "Custer was alive before he crossed this border." <g> I was just listening to Larry Verne's old "Mr. Custer." Still makes me laugh. So do notes like the one you quoted.
