Linux and MacOS fastest growing server platforms.


Of course, as usual, soup leaves out the part where the Mac's market share is actually discussed. Here's what the article goes on to say:

"But the other good news is the rapidly increasing Macintosh share. Although the Mac OS is only 2.1% of the total, that represents 64% more Mac servers than the January report, when the Mac OS had only 1.6% of the server market."

I almost fell off my chair laughing when I read that. 2.1% of the market is *good news*? soup, when your market share is that low, it doesn't take a whole lot be a "fastest growing platform", percentage wise. I can remember when Macs had TEN percent of the market, and now they're breaking out the party hats when they hit 2%.

Oh yeah, that's a real "standard" in the making.

soup, I'm all for polite discussions, byt you're beginning to sound a lot like Apple's press releases.
