Hi Rob I agree with you completly. The Banks, BBD.B, BCE and the like trade very pridictably and TA works very well on them. I don't mind being very leveraged on them either as they won't be gone over night so you can trade 1000-2000 shares comfortably with 50-60K and 30% margin. Don't fogert the short side either. Ive had it where I was short on TD and when I called to cover my short on a thousand shares I also went long on the same call by buying 2000. Nice predictable moves up and down.

I too, like you, am trying to accumulate enough money so i can trade blocks of 1000 and trade those 'big boys'. I believe that the stocks in the higher price range offer less volatility when day trading than those in the pennies and under $10, hopefully we both meet our financial goals in the shortest term possible, also i would like to point out to you if you do get that 30k, trade with Swift Trade Securities located in d/t toronto, the BEST canadian day trade firm with those who have at least min 25k, actually the only (as far as i know) day trade firm in canada.
