Yes, the VOIP market is heating up, but notice who Cisco and the other major players DIDN'T acquire. LKON has been the waterboy for Sun for several years now, and SUN won't even acquire them for a tiny fraction of what ANY decent IPO would go for if they had something valuable. Heck, Sun isn't investing a dime in LKON, even though LKON has very little capital which makes them look very risky to outsiders. The writing on the wall says that Sun is using LKON only as bait to attract a major player to fill the gap.

As far as the service business, I hope LKON has a better business plan than to get a cut of long-distance fees which will quickly go to zero because ANYONE can get into this business (that's why the telcos are going to get in prematurely, because they can't afford NOT to).
Speaking of "anyone", none of LKON's alliances or customers are even a blip on the radar. I hope I'm wrong, but LKON appears to be a stealth company that's going to crash if they don't get past the "best technology" fixation (which even if true is not relevant over time when the huge companies get involved). The BEST LKON can do is to get financial investments from Sun and others AND make major OEM alliances with the big players including niche applications companies (Netscape, etc.). I have little evidence so far that they're able to do that, which logically explains why their market value is so miniscule. (Did you notice that the company that Cisco bought their expertise from was valued at over 10 TIMES what LKON is at by Cisco?).

It never ceases to amaze me how small companies with reasonable technology in explosive industries still manage to screw up because they think like an R&D department of a real company. I invite any intelligent life at LKON to refute my suggestions.
