GoNorth: Even you know it costs a Big bucks to become a household name on the Internet. BID.COM is nearly there now, aren't those types of expenses now dropping. So what if they went in the hole in the first year. It's only like the rest of the Internet auction companies. Not many Canadians and Americans don't know the name of BID.COM, EBAY, EGGHEAD and ONSALE etc . This Internet Business is still in our infancy. BIDS has not even been on the NASDAQ 2 weeks yet, and look at the media coverage.!!! Look at the billions of dollars awaiting Internet Auction in the future. I believe that late 2001/early 2002 would be a reasonable expectation. adweek.com ps.1 In subsequent posts I agreed that the marketing spend should be bumped up about $5million/year which obviously brings the current value down slightly. ps.2 Again, I ask... if you're looking at a 1 year profit horizon I guess you don't invest in pharmaceuticals, fuel cells or most other i-net firms??? Maybe you should expand your horizons (in more ways than one!!) Please go to the Ballard thread and tell them they're wasting their money - we've already heard it from you.... 800+ times in the past 4 months!!!
