Larry,

Yes, I'm very familiar with the 820 (I own shares of tdfx - check that thread if you want to see reams of "Intel will kill everything" statements being proven wrong).

"Camino" will bring RAMBUS memory and ATA66 support for faster IDE devices plus AGPx4 (AGPx2 is barely worth it and memory has gone down so much that local memory on the graphics cards far surpasses the benefit of transfering data at the slow AGPx2 speed).

No, I didn't own Dell in 1993. At that time I didn't have enough money saved away to invest in individual stocks. My mutual funds in my 401(k) were where most of my money was.

Also, even if almost all the inside was the same, Dell would have a great distribution system, and very good brand name, and a large cash hoard to deal with the challenges to come.

I think that Dell has a good chance to double every 3 years or so into the future which is a very good return for me. Maybe they won't grow their share price quite as fast as has happened over the last few years, but they'll still be a strong growth stock.
