None of your arguments are appallingly obvious to me, Edwarda. Even if our society tends towards violence, and teenagers are at loose ends because they have been humiliated or harassed in school, doing actual rampant permanent damage depends on the availability of assault weapons. Otherwise, most of them grow out of the impulsive years safely, and survive to adulthood. I would agree that the bombs in the Columbine tragedy were scary, but they were simply an addition, not a substitution for, guns. Why are you so worried about "hurting" the NRA? Cannot the NRA take care of itself? Its politics are certainly hurting plenty of us! Are you saying that you find it utterly normal that more and more of us are armed with assault weapons? Appallingly obvious? The pathology of a society like this one is what I find appallingly obvious!
