"Remember when we went to a 256K chip. The world was amazed. I can remember when Micron went from NMOS to CMOS, from 256K to 1 Meg, from 23 masks to 11, all at one time. The "new" fun is just around the corner." FABBY- I am disappointed in you! Your "mentor/hero" (TAL) was involved in the move to seven (not eleven) masking steps......were you by chance "checked into" the State-run "Hotel" just south of Boise during that conversion???
