To the moon with DELL... Check out Monday's Investor's Business Daily. There is a nice big article on Pg. A-6...."New Search Service Sees DELL as Way into Fast Lane."...Hmmm...wish I could post it BUT I can say DELL is thinking outside the box and will gain great exposure throughout the internet with their new agreement with a Norweigan company called Fast Search (an Inktomi competitor). "Under the accord, DELL will sell computer servers and related gear to Fast Search at a discount. In return, DELL's logo will appear on EVERY page called up using Fast Search. Users who click on the DELL logo will get information about DELL products." The article says Fast Search plans to sell its service to web portals, e-commerce sites, and community oriented web sites. "If Fast Search signs up even one such customer, DELL's logo and ads could reach millions of eyeballs, says Fast Search President David Burns. One deal could mean 25 million page views a day, he said." Fast Search's goal is to deliver a faster, better, and more comprehensive search than ANY rival. "We believe that we have the Inktomi Killer" said the Fast Search CEO. Well, it seems as if DELL has indeed partnered with a web-based pioneer. Bye bye Alta Vista... IMHO, DELL's global exposure on the WWW will only skyrocket. Of course, DELL's e-commerce sales are bound to consistently set records as well. DELL is evolving into an internet company. If only the BIG money and the SMART money would read the fine print AND read between the lines of these new agreements <GGG> .....I'll hold my shares for the ride up to where we belong. Best Regards, Scott
