There is a way to get money out of an RRSP but it will cost you a little and carries some risk. Find a stock with lots of support but nothing on the offer expect one block of shares one cent above the ask. If you look you can always find these type of stocks. You buy the shares in your cash account which leave the offer at a very high price. The TSE and VSE rules let you cross stock at any price between the bid and the ask. You buy the shares in your RRSP account at a super high price. You then sell the shares in your RRSP account to the ask .01 cent below. You lose the price of commission and the .01 loss on the shares but if done right you can transfer a ton of cash. Of course you then have to pay tax on this money.
