Robert, I hope that things end well, so that we may rejoice at the triumph of justice in a troubled land. But there is at least some question, it seems to me, of whether or not the Administration is on the right track. I have defended intervention, but I cannot defend the clumsiness of this action. For that reason, the sense that defeating Milosevic over- rides all other considerations seems to me to be misplaced. Our primary concern should be with the Kosovar Albanians' well- being, their repatriation, and the stabilization of the situation. If that means doing business with Milosevic, than we should. We must consider the realistic options under current circumstances...

Robert, Speaking up for those who are oppressed or weak is good. Keep it up. Not to turn religious on everyone, but Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 25, Verses 31-46, called "The Judgement of the Nations", says to obtain life eternal, that's exactly what you have to do- read it.

And helping the Kosovars is just- my concern is that in savaging the Serbs we are not solving a problem but actually creating two problems and causing great human misery on both sides unnecessarily....
