A sad tale but also a good lesson to pass on. Margin kills, as does unswerving vision. Some of my friends and I got a taste of the latter last February, and I will make sure I'm not in a "go for broke" position again, even if I'm sure it's a "sure thing".

Thanks for the reminder, rudedog,
Frank

A very good post.
YES ! DELL has had major sell offs in the past and it could happen again !
I just think the "Mohan gang" always saying every thing is fine with
DELL is very misleading. DELL is a great company, but in the past
there has been some very very bad sell offs and today's DELL
investors should realize that.
Thnaks again for the good post !

Thanks for the story rudedog...
We have to keep things in perspective.....The great DELLheads who have been around obviously have lower costs than the newbies like me. However, if there is a lesson to be learned (not that i have learned it wisely)everyone has to make their own judgement according to their capacity and risk tolerance. Bears have their agenda...so do the Bulls. However, so far, the bulls have (in my opinion) been more sincere and gracious with their opinions (instead of slamming a company just because its a POS boxmaker)....
The suceeding qtrs will make or break......

Dog,

You should repeat your story on the CPQ thread so that they may benefit from your wisdom. For what has just happened to CPQ surely verifies your tale of caution.
