Let's be realistic. The K7 doesn't have to "smoke" the Pentium III right out of the box. I don't think it will. If integer is equal and the FP is say 5-10% better that's enough. The big thing to me is that the K7 can be improved from there by adding cache and the most important thing...increasing the scaling the MHz. MHz Sells-(TM McMannis). Volume production and good yield will then be the problem.
