You are right, and would only add that many ethical people got attacked on both sides and most all of us reacted badly at some point. I think it is only when we all admit we were far from perfect that things truly get better.

The big problem was that nobody really could determine who the really decent people were, since many were so defensive and often sarcastic, and so intent on "winning" the battle of words.

We begin to see now that most of us weren't as bad as we seemed.

Hopefully in the future, everyone tries harder to be more balanced in their assessment of a stock. Every BB stock is far from perfect and DD can be very difficult. Some people are protectors and watchdogs and are really not trying to hurt the pocketbooks of those who are long for their own gain (i.e shorting). Others are enthusiast and really do believe in a stock and are not hyping, just excited.

Somehow those who are basically decent and ethical, will hopefully find a balance of enthusiasm and cynicism. If we are all more tactful, a natural checks and balances system is created without anger or resentment. This would be ideal, since it would expose the good and not-so-good and allow for truthful and accurate assessments.

TACTFUL is a good word.

Another is RESPECT.

We can strive for it anyway.
