The contrary view: some posters just like to arouse controversy. If they know people aren't reading their posts, it's no fun. I've been on several threads where the "responsible" posters just got together and agreed to ignore certain posters, or to answer every post of his/hers with some simple message like "please go away." Almost always it stopped being fun for them, and they went somewhere else. But in the meanwhile, we still had to endure passing through their posts. So why not a filter? If he winds up with five people reading his garbage who agree with him, fine. They can have their little corner.

P.S. What's up with the lawsuit? I haven't looked for a thread on it -- is there one? I hope it doesn't dampen your plans for 10 months and 28 days from now.
