Now that's showing some passion Neocon, keep it up! :-)

I've enjoyed your discussion with Bob tonight.

Thanks.

My, aren't you the very picture of the examined life, Neocon. With all this rigorous self examination, it's odd you've found such a convivial home here among the hateful lifers. Clinton- Caligula-Capone- antichrist- Hitler, all very thoughtful and deep.

From the time I first saw it, circa '72, National Review has had the kind of supercilious "you're stupid and we're not" tone that I find noxious, at least when read by someone insufficiently "right". I'm sure the true blue conservatives find it objective and reasonable, just like the editorial page of the WSJ. I'm also sure the manly Dr. Crane appreciates the manly Bill Buckley. Commentary has to be the very definition of humorlessness. Remember this Woody Allen movie, where he picked up this collection of arid periodicals to camouflage his Playboy purchase? Was that "Bananas"? I'm sure Commentary was in there. It was all for naught, of course, as the checkout lady called out, "Hey Ralph, how much is Playboy?"
