Well E. this is my second try at a response. Netscape 3 is getting more and more crash prone.

ON Bread we have Ockam instruments. Just like America's cup syndicates use.

Our system has 8 controller displays. 6 in the cockpit and two at the nav station below.

The ockam computer connects with thin wire betwix elements. The sensor imputs are boat speed, electronic compass, wind speed and direction. I have a GPS and I'm hoping to integrate it's data into the system. The Ockam interface to GPS and computer is over 1000 and currently out of the budget of the Sea Scout Ship 110. (Unless nine or aplx goes to 10)

I do have a scanner and have got it to work under Linux. I used the sane package. The scanner is a micortek e6 and I used a couple of different scsi cards. I currently don't have the interface set up as I found my digital camera much more flexible in capturing images.
